Summarization in medical terms refers to a process where the complex and arduous amount of medical records are made easier to read by summarizing them and highlighting the important information for easy reference. These reports contain everything right from the EHS report to the discharge summary, including but not limited to initial diagnosis, surgery notes, nurses’ notes, test results, medication prescribed, and final diagnosis and prognosis.
